Analysis of the current situation of the Samanes Ecological Park and proposal for its tourist reactivation.

Abstract

The spaces of protected areas worldwide in recent years have had an essential participation in tourist activity, beyond the benefits that they offer us such as contact with nature and that message of preservation and conservation that we must have towards the ecosystems; Within the post-pandemic tourist reactivation process, they were the first sites or places that were suggested by experts and international health and recreation organizations that we should visit for the characteristics they present. In Ecuador, natural areas were no exception as soon as the biosafety protocols were implemented and the opening times for mobilization within Ecuadorian territory were established, the country's protected areas began to receive national and foreign tourists respectively. In this context, it is necessary to consider a situational analysis of the Samanes National Recreation Area and to present a proposal for the reactivation of tourism for the benefit of the community and the sector.
