Bibliometric analysis of publications on financial education in university students from the Web of Science

Abstract
The research focuses on a bibliometric analysis of productions focused on financial education in university students from the Web of Science database. 920 documents were located in 2024 using: keywords ("financial education", “university”, “financial knowledge" and "students"), years (2021-2023), articles (originals), type of access (open access) and languages (English and Spanish). Some results were: Ma, Li has 3 publications on the topic of financial education in the last three years. Likewise, the university that has the most publications was the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey de Mexico (24 publications); USA leads with 175 publications and 525 citations and the keyword "higher education" had the highest repetitions (76 appearances). Areas of future research are pointed out, such as understanding the mechanisms behind the lack of financial skills in university students and evaluate educational interventions to improve financial literacy.
