Abstract

This research article proposes the study of immersive systems in education; through the development of an Augmented Reality application as support in the teaching-learning process in the Telematics career. The application is developed in the Unity 3D video game engine, and is applied to third-level students in the subject of industrial communications and technical support; specifically in the configuration, parts and applications of the Mikrotik Hap Lite RB941 Router, additionally 3D modeling of the PC motherboard is carried out in order to determine the concepts and parts of the board to be assembled. The developed application allows interactive management of practical classes, in addition to optimizing time and material resources with each of the students. The results obtained through a usability test for both teachers and students indicate a high acceptance factor for use in classrooms; This is due to the easy manipulation and interactivity with the virtual environment to improve learning.
