Abstract

This study focuses on the objective of implementing strategies to develop competencies in green economies for the interior electrical installations module, aligning technical education with the demands of sustainability and energy efficiency, which are essential for the transition to a green economy. A quantitative methodology was used, based on surveys conducted with students from the Unidad Educativa Instituto Suárez, involving a sample of 36 students. The research combines a descriptive-explanatory approach to analyze current technical competencies and propose educational strategies to bridge the gap between academic training and labor market needs. The data obtained reveal limited knowledge of energy efficiency regulations and
sustainable technologies, as well as the need for practical resources and innovative teaching methodologies. This highlights the importance of updating curricular content to include practices and simulations related to technologies such as renewable energies.
