Abstract
This article analyzes the effectiveness of implementing innovative teaching strategies based on active learning, the use of technological resources, and problem-solving approaches to strengthen the mastery of basic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) among primary school students. Using a quasi-experimental pretest–posttest design, the study involved 60 fourth-grade students from a public educational institution. The results show significant improvements in arithmetic performance, motivation, and active participation. The integration of interactive digital tools, mathematical games, and collaborative methodologies contributed to more meaningful learning and enhanced logical–mathematical thinking. It is concluded that innovative strategies based on active learning and technology are effective in improving basic mathematical competencies at the primary education level.
